Vito and I divided up the feedback for the draft Research Alouds. All of the feedback will be uploaded to respective private folders by 8 p.m. this evening. Currently half of the class has their feedback placed in their respective Private Folders. If you haven't received an automatic email notification regarding feedback, then just check your own Private Folder sometime after 8 this evening.
Vito provided feedback for half the class (9 people) and I did the other half. We'll switch who we give feedback to for the draft paper. All of our feedback is the the form of an audio MP3 file. In general the feedback file has been named name_feedback.mp3. For example, Nasa will find a file named Nasa_feedback.mp3 sometime today in her private folder.
In class tomorrow I'll discuss trends across the draft Research Alouds, refined tips for creating an excellent final product, and a revised rubric for the Research Alouds. I found the original rubric didn't capture all the important features needed in a research aloud adequately enough. Thus I've revised the rubric to be clearer especially with regards to stating why you chose your article and on providing a quick but powerful summary.
