Draft Paper

Over the next two weeks you'll all be working on your second draft product: the Draft Paper. There are some key factors you need to be aware of regarding this draft product:

  • The due date is midnight Monday April 12

  • The paper needs to be submitted as a PDF. Some of you many need to use Zamzar to create a good PDF. Zamzar has been embedded into our course website. Mac-users will all be able to create good PDFs. Many Windows-users will also be able to create "good" PDFs. However, a few Windows-users end up creating PDFs where the proper formatting for headings is lost. For those people they'll need to use Zamzar. Not sure? Send me a PDF that uses Times New Roman bold headers—and I'll tell you right away if it came across fine.

  • The paper should be written using APA style—especially pay attention to the use of headers.

  • The final paper has 4 sections: Overview, Article 1, Article 2, and Future Directions.

  • The draft paper includes only 1 section: one of your two articles!

  • The complete paper will be about 13-to-15 pages long (but no longer).

  • The draft paper should be about 5 pages long (not including any cover page).

  • Use the Cognition Paper Rubric to help guide you regarding the 5 key ingredients that go into writing about an article for this course project.

  • Upload your draft paper to your Private Folder.
