- Once you know what specialization topic you're doing, then you'll need to identify one article that you want to use for your audio presentation (i.e. "student research aloud") by next class. This article needs to be something that goes beyond the foundational 5 readings I gave to you for that topic. So you'll need to do some searching.
- One great resource for searching is the reference list at the end of your foundational readings!
- A second great resource for searching is the PsychInfo database. There are other databases (such as ERIC), but PsychInfo is probably your best friend in this course. As such, notice how I've placed a direct link to this database in the sidebar area (hint: look under the Key Website Links sidebar header).
- Need to email myself or Vito? It's even easier now if you use a software based email client. (This won't work if you use a web-based email program.) Notice that the email addresses for both Vito and myself are in bold blue type in the sidebar. Click on either email address and a new email post will be created in your email program—complete with our email address and a subject line. Just start typing your message! (And you can always click on the Email tab at the top of this page to send me an email as well.)
March 13 Class Preview
Our next class session is on March 13th. This class will be different from the other sessions in two key ways.
- The GSA Research Symposium is being held from 11:30 to 1:30 that day. Thus I'm shifting our class time to start at 1:30 and end at 4:15 on that date.
- Since the big course project necessitates some good SRL skills, a good chunk of our class will be devoted to covering the key mechanics of completing the course project.
