Effect Size Sketchpad

effect_size_sketchpad, originally uploaded by Mathew Mitchell.
Today I added a new section to the website titled Effect Size. You'll find this new tab at the top (just to the right of Gallery and just to the left of Projects). This is a section dedicated to Cohen's d. Currently it includes some downloads—including a brand spanking new version of my Effect Size calculator for Excel. I highly recommend downloading this new version (just redone today) if you anticipate using Excel. But that's not the exciting news.

The most important thing on the Effect Size page is an embedded spreadsheet (thanks to Google Docs) that allows you to very quickly calculate effect sizes at the website! I think I've successfully set all this up so you do not need to sign in to Google to use the spreadsheet. However, there may be some kinks so please let me know if you find something amiss.

One limitation of this interactive spreadsheet is that it can't be on more than 11 computers at one time. Other than that, I think (hope/wish/pray) that it will work fine.

It would be extremely useful if you could leave a comment at the bottom of the Effect Size page letting me know if you could see the spreadsheet fine and if you could, in fact, successfully enter numbers. If you put in some silly or "test" numbers I can always delete them later on.
