File Sharing Quick Update

I briefly demoed two special pages in class yesterday: the Share and the Private pages within the PROJECTS section of the website. Neither of these pages will be fully ready to use until about February 10th. This is for two reasons:

1. The tool that allows me to create these file sharing pages is still in beta development. That means there's still some bugs in the software. The developer anticipates a final version of the software being released by February 15th at the latest. (Currently one bug is that the top of the page on the Share page does not show up correctly—soon to be corrected.)


2. Each student needs a unique username and password that only they and I know. (I have to know it because I have to enter the information into this software tool.) At some time in the nearish future I will ask each of you to email me your desired username/password information. I'll use the same combo for both the Share and the Private pages.

Put differently, I realize some of you would like to play with this feature right away. It is, after all, very cool! But please be a little patient. It will be ready to use in plenty of time for needed course work.
